About the OpportunityWe're seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer III to support the development of advanced simulation, digital twin, and AI-driven modeling solutions for complex semiconductor equipment. In this role, you'll leverage CFD, FEA, machine learning, and reduced‑order modeling techniques to optimize product designs, accelerate engineering decisions, and improve system performance.
What You Will Do- Perform CFD and FEA simulations to validate and optimize semiconductor equipment, subsystems, and components.
- Analyze heat transfer, fluid flow, structural performance, vibration, and manufacturability characteristics.
- Develop surrogate models, reduced‑order models, and machine learning‑based prediction tools to accelerate simulation workflows.
- Build digital twin solutions by combining simulation models with operational, test, and sensor data.
- Create automated workflows for design optimization, simulation management, and model validation.
- 5+ years of experience performing CFD and FEA simulations using tools such as ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS Mechanical, STAR‑CCM+, Simcenter 3D, or similar platforms.
- 3+ years of experience developing surrogate models, reduced‑order models, response surface models, or simulation acceleration methodologies.
- 3+ years of experience programming in Python, MATLAB, or comparable scientific computing environments.
- 3+ years of experience applying fluid mechanics, heat transfer, structural mechanics, numerical methods, and engineering model validation techniques.
- 2+ years of experience using CAD software such as Siemens NX, Creo/ProE, Solid Works, or equivalent 3D design platforms.
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computational Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience developing digital twin solutions for engineering systems, manufacturing operations, or semiconductor equipment.
- Experience with physics‑informed machine learning, neural networks, Gaussian process regression, optimization algorithms, or design‑space exploration techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud computing, high‑performance computing (HPC), simulation automation, data pipelines, and custom scripting.
- Experience creating automated parametric simulation workflows and optimization frameworks.
- Semiconductor industry experience.
- Strong technical presentation and communication skills.
- Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.
- Overtime may be required to support project schedules and deliverables.
- Applicants for this position must be legally authorized to work in the United States. This position does not meet the employment requirements for individuals with F‑1 OPT STEM work authorization status.
