Energy Systems Engineer

About the Role

In this role you will develop engineering submittal packages for projects of any size or difficulty, acting as a technical consultant to both internal project teams and external customers and consulting engineers. You will bridge the gap between design and field execution, ensuring every project moves forward with clarity, accuracy, and quality.

• Read and interpret plans, specifications, sales estimates, and proposals to design controls submittals that meet scope, schedule, and budget
• Maintain established standards for customer specific systems and archive completed work
• Support field personnel with technical coordination and problem solving during installation and startup
• Perform self review of your work, then submit for peer review to ensure quality
• Facilitate the turnover process from engineering to field, providing complete and updated project information
• Develop turnkey systems ready for technicians to implement in end user software packages
• Maintain and contribute to the engineering library and internal standards
• Participate in technical discussions and help resolve complex technical challenges
• Communicate clearly and consistently with internal teams and external customers

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
• Strong knowledge of HVAC DDC controls theory, applications, and systems
• Solid understanding of electrical systems and electrical science
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and standard graphics and network software
• Ability to work independently on high difficulty projects and manage a project design team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver's license with the ability to drive to job sites occasionally

This role offers a clear path forward, with opportunities to advance into an Energy Systems Engineering Supervisor position and eventually a Sr. Energy Systems Engineering Lead role based on consistent performance over time.
