Responsibilities
Design, simulate, and develop high-speed, high-sensitivity In Ga As /InP photodiodes for optical transceivers and next-generation optoelectronic applications.
Support product development from concept through qualification and manufacturing, ensuring performance, quality, and reliability objectives are achieved.
Collaborate with epitaxial growth and semiconductor process engineers to define and optimize device structures, epitaxial designs, and fabrication processes.
Work closely with test and reliability engineers to develop characterization plans, analyze device performance, and coordinate reliability qualification activities.
Evaluate device performance through electrical and optical characterization and recommend design improvements based on test results.
Partner with internal wafer fabrication teams and external manufacturing partners to develop and implement advanced manufacturing technologies.
Analyze engineering data, troubleshoot technical issues, and drive continuous improvements in device performance, manufacturability, and yield.
Document design methodologies, experimental results, and technical findings while contributing to intellectual property development and innovation initiatives.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in photodiodes, optical communications, and III-V semiconductor devices.

- Support design high-speed and high-sensitive photodiode epi structures
- Support design both front- and back-end wafer process flows
- Support and Perform device characterization
- Support product qualification and release
- This role will be based on-site in Fremont, CA.
- Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary.
- Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings.
- Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
- Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
