Our robots operate in large-scale data center environments, helping automate inspection, maintenance, and physical infrastructure operations. We integrate robotics, AI, autonomous systems, software, and hardware into real-world production deployments.

Role Summary

Trubot is seeking a Technical Program Manager – Robotics to lead cross-functional engineering programs from concept through deployment. This role partners closely with robotics software, hardware, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, operations, suppliers, and customers to ensure successful execution of complex robotics programs.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, execution-oriented, and capable of driving multiple engineering teams to deliver high-quality products on schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional robotics development programs from concept through production deployment.
  • Develop, maintain, and drive project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate engineering activities across software, hardware, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and operations teams.
  • Drive program execution by tracking progress, identifying risks, resolving issues, and managing dependencies.
  • Manage project priorities, resource planning, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful delivery.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing partners, and external vendors to support product development and deployment.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI), manufacturing readiness, validation, and production ramp-up.
  • Coordinate robot deployment, field implementation, testing, customer integration, and issue resolution.
  • Prepare executive-level program status reports and communicate progress, risks, and key decisions.
  • Continuously improve project management processes, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Engineering Program Management, Project Management, or a related engineering leadership role.
  • Experience managing cross-functional engineering programs involving both hardware and software development.
  • Strong understanding of product development life cycles, manufacturing processes, system integration, and engineering execution.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent project management tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMI or PMP certification.
  • Experience in robotics, autonomous systems, industrial automation, or intelligent hardware products.
  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing operations.
  • Experience working with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and external engineering partners.
  • Familiarity with robotics hardware, embedded systems, sensors, AI-based products, or autonomous systems.
  • Experience supporting customer deployments, field operations, or large-scale system integration.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.

  • On-site in Fremont, California.
Travel
  • Ability to travel up to 30% as required.
