The impact you’ll makeAt Lam, as a Product Engineer, you thrive in a high-stakes, dynamic environment, driving product development at the forefront of the semiconductor equipment industry. Collaborating closely with customers and internal teams, you will provide real-time problem-solving for customer challenges and help enhance our products. Your passion for engaging with customers and innovative engineering drives progress in our industry, tackling the once-unsolvable.
What you’ll do- Provides technical support to customers, field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging Etch Gas Delivery hardware.
- Provides quality remote and on-site escalation support and escalation management.
- Reports design, reliability, and maintenance issues, as well as software bugs, to the design and software engineering teams.
- Provides software requirements for new features and the operation of gas delivery hardware.
- Works with suppliers to develop and qualify new components.
- Performs testing and analyzes data for new and existing gas delivery hardware.
- Creates and updates documentation for field service engineers and customers.
- May be involved in customer installations and training.
- Provides support to customers and users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature.
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field, with a minimum of 6 years of related industry experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in product engineering.
- Of the required experience, must have at least 1 year of experience in three of the following areas: electromechanical system design and manufacturing; systems engineering and integration; statistical methods for modeling multivariate data sets; statistical process control; vacuum systems; or semiconductor technologies.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working on projects involving fluid mechanics and gas delivery systems.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience reading and working from electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams, as well as interpreting operation manuals.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with statistical process control and basic statistical analysis in a production environment.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with suppliers to source and procure components, as well as perform failure analysis.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience using one or more of the following software tools or programming languages: CAD, OrCAD, LabVIEW, MATLAB, JMP, OpenMP, Fortran, C, C#, Python,…
