Role Description

The Test & Troubleshooting Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Fremont, CA, responsible for testing and diagnosing issues in electronic assemblies and systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include operating test equipment, performing functional and in-circuit tests, documenting results, and identifying root causes of failures at the component and board level. The technician will perform hands-on troubleshooting, assist with calibration and verification of test setups, and work closely with engineering and production teams to implement corrective actions.

The role includes reading and interpreting schematics, following detailed work instructions, maintaining test fixtures and equipment, and supporting continuous improvement of test processes. This position requires adherence to quality standards, safe work practices, and timely completion of testing to meet production schedules.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for electronic assemblies and systems.
  • Candidates should possess proficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and related diagnostic tools.
  • Candidates should possess experience with calibration and verification of test instruments and fixtures.
  • Candidates should possess clear communication skills for documenting test results, reporting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and test procedures.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing, EMS, or related environments is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with ESD handling, quality control practices, and safety standards is preferred.
  • Relevant technical education or training in electronics, engineering technology, or comparable field is advantageous.
