Construction Project Manager – Data Center Projects Position SummaryThe Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all phases of data center construction projects from pre-construction through commissioning and turnover. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards while coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution- Manage all aspects of data center construction projects, including site development, building construction, MEP systems, and commissioning activities
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
Coordinate project activities with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and vendors - Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and delays
- Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders
- Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
- Review and approve contractor invoices, change orders, and purchase requests
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and schedule requirements
- Track project expenditures and ensure financial objectives are achieved
- Manage contractor and subcontractor procurement processes
- Review contracts, scopes of work, and technical specifications
- Negotiate change orders and resolve contract-related issues
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project requirements
- Oversee installation and integration of critical facility systems including:
- Electrical distribution systems
- UPS systems
- Generators
- Switchgear
- HVAC and cooling systems
- Fire protection systems
- Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Security and access control systems
