At Lam, as a Product Engineer, you thrive in high-stakes, dynamic environment, driving product development at the forefront of the semiconductor equipment industry. Collaborating closely with customers and internal teams, you will provide real-time problem-solving to customer challenges and to enhance our products. Your passion for engaging with customers and innovative engineering drives progress in our industry, tackling the once  this role, you will directly contribute to the Global Products Engineering group at Lam Research.

What you’ll do Actively participate in global platform field escalations, emphasizing in Lam platforms on Etch, Deposition and Clean products. Wafer Handling / Robotics experience required Analyze research data and product specifications.

Acquire and apply engineering theories, methods and research techniques in the investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical problems.

Conduct and design well defined experiments and tests pertaining to the development of new methods, processes, hardware, standards, modification of current material, components, software, or process specifications and the resolution to complex technical problems Responsibility includes instituting and owning corrective actions and following through to assure proper release and hand off of solutions to Technical Services and Field Process/Field Service organizations Highly quantitative, and ability to articulate plan including findings, data collected and progress to Lam’s customers on a regular basis

Who we’re looking for8 years’ semiconductor equipment experience

Direct experience in semiconductor mechatronics product support a plus BS degree in Engineering or equivalent, MS degree or PhD a plus Strong oral and written communication skills, including strong presentation skills

Ability to travel up to 30%

Preferred Qualifications Prior robotics, product support, and technical engineer experience is beneficial.

Working knowledge of Statistics Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCCA), 8D and 5

Why Problem Solving. Understanding GD&T and commonly used drawing standards.

Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment.

Experience leading cross-functional teams.

Experience with customer communications a plus.

Individual and team contributor with go getter attitude and self-drive and motivation.

Preferred qualifications

Prior product design and technical engineer experience is beneficial.

Experience designing, specifying, building, operating, and maintaining semiconductor, automotive, aerospace, or related hardware, tools, and equipment.

Experience coordinating and communicating with cross-functional teams.
