Chief Executive Officer

Specialty Coating Services, or “Spec Coat”, is seeking a Controller to lead and scale the company’s finance function during a period of significant growth and operational transformation. Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will play a critical role in strengthening financial processes and improving visibility into the business.

This is a highly impactful, hands‑on leadership role where the Controller will take ownership of financial operations, complete a key ERP implementation (Net Suite), and build the systems, processes, and team needed to support the company’s next phase of growth.

• Lead all aspects of accounting and financial operations, including month‑end close, reporting, and internal controls
• Develop and implement systems for improved inventory and cost tracking, with a strong emphasis on building and refining labor cost accounting in a labor‑driven manufacturing environment
• Build and enhance financial reporting, KPIs, and dashboards to support data‑driven decision‑making
• Own and complete the Net Suite implementation, ensuring successful deployment and long‑term scalability
• Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team on financial planning, analysis, and business strategy
• Establish scalable processes and controls to support continued growth and complexity
• Manage and develop the accounting team, with responsibility for hiring and scaling the function over time
• Support multi‑site operations, including facility expansion and potential M&A activity

• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance
• 5+ years of leadership experience of an accounting or finance function
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• MBA preferred
• CPA or CMA preferred
• Background in manufacturing, ideally within electronics, PCBA, or EMS environments
• Experience in high‑growth or PE‑backed companies strongly preferred
• Hands‑on experience with Net Suite, including implementation or major system upgrades
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, particularly in environments where labor is the primary cost driver
• Blend of accounting and FP&A experience, with ability to provide proactive insights
• Proven ability to build processes, systems, and teams in a scaling organization
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross‑functional partnership skills
