Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our premier clinical team. This part-time or on-call role offers the perfect balance of flexibility and professional fulfillment. As an OT in our facility, you will empower our residents to regain their independence and improve their quality of life through personalized, goal-oriented therapy.

Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive Evaluations: Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop evidence-based treatment plans based on physician orders.
  • Direct Clinical Care: Provide high-quality therapeutic interventions, ensuring strict compliance with established treatment protocols.
  • Clinical Leadership: Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and provide specialized training to Restorative Aides to ensure continuity of care.
  • Detailed Documentation: Maintain precise clinical records and facilitate clear communication with the broader healthcare team.
  • Collaboration: Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and contribute to facility in-service training sessions.
  • Discharge Planning: Assist with transition planning and provide vital education and training for residents  families and caregivers.
  • Equipment Advocacy: Assess resident needs and provide recommendations for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) to ensure safety and mobility.
Qualifications
  • Licensure: Must hold a current and valid California Occupational Therapy License
    .
