School Occupational Therapist | Fremont, California

A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist to provide specialized support within a school setting. This role involves working directly with students to develop and improve their motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities, helping them succeed in their academic and daily activities.

Location:

Fremont, CA (with potential responsibilities also in San Jose, CA)

Schedule:

2 days per week

• Assess students physical and sensory needs to create individualized intervention plans
• Implement therapeutic activities and exercises to enhance motor skills, coordination, and independence
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support student progress
• Monitor and document student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations to enhance student outcomes

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings
• Expertise in pediatric occupational therapy, particularly within educational environments
• Strong knowledge of therapy techniques tailored to school-age children
• Effective communication skills for working with students, families, and school staff
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule

• Contract position offering a focused work schedule, two days per week
