Salary Range: $46.60 - $53.25 plus applicable shift differential
Summary of Duties: Responsible for performing clerical duties and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Accurately interprets cardiac rhythms and differentiates between lethal, serious and benign rhythms and informs the RN of a lethal arrhythmia in a timely manner.
Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Licensure/Certification Requirements: AHA BLS required.
Experience Requirements: One (1) year previous telemetry experience in an acute care hospital preferred. Previous clerical, receptionist, physician's office experience or appropriate medical training preferred. Computer skills sufficient to use Welch Allyn Acuity Monitoring System with accuracy for admitting, discharging, ordering, charging, and patient scheduling. Experience as a unit clerk in an acute care hospital preferred.
Special Skills or Abilities: Ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology required. Effective written and verbal communication skills in English required. Possess the emotional stamina to work in a stressful environment. Possess computer skills sufficient enough to effectively use Telemetry Monitoring System with accuracy for admitting, discharging, ordering, charging and patient scheduling. Demonstrates competency in performing the skills necessary for telemetry technician.
