Ambulatory Epic EMR Analyst with strong focus in implementation of community connect clinics
NOTE:
This role is primarily full-time onsite. The department offers the privilege of working remotely up to two (2) days per week, contingent upon role responsibilities, business needs, and manager approval.
Summary of Duties
:
Seeking highly self‑motivated individual who thrives in fast‑paced environment with multiple conflicting priorities. The Ambulatory Epic EMR Analyst is responsible for the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of Epic Ambulatory applications for affiliated practices participating in the Community Connect program and hospital outpatient area. This role partners closely with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to ensure successful onboarding, workflow alignment, system configuration, training, and long‑term support of native EMR Epic.
Primary focus will be to implement the Community Connect practices. The analyst serves as a subject‑matter expert in Epic Ambulatory workflows and plays a critical role in maintaining high‑quality, efficient, and compliant use of the EMR across community‑based practices.
- Experience with additional Epic modules (e.g., Cadence, Prelude, MyChart).
- Prior experience supporting independent or community‑based physician practices.
- Experience with system upgrades and integrated testing cycles.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or clinical certifications (i.e. LVN, MA, OTR etc.) desired
- Healthcare or equivalent experience desired.
- Epic ambulatory Certification or relevant Epic certification or strong experience in other relevant Epic modules is preferred.
- Must obtain additional necessary certifications in one or more Epic applications as appropriate.
- Minimum Required
Education:
High School diploma and equivalent of 5 years of clinical healthcare experience and/or clinical certifications (i.e. LVN, MA, OTR, etc.). - Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or healthcare related field, Business, or Information Technology. - Experience:
One to three years of any clinical information system implementation, support, or business application experience. If a Clinical Application position, two to four years of healthcare or revenue experience, in a clinical, acute care, or ambulatory care setting. Requires one to two years of Epic experience and Epic certification. If position is non‑clinical focused: two to four years of experience in field related to assigned application, e.g. healthcare applications, ERP, programming, analytics and reporting, automated interfaces, industry‑standard automation tools, file transport, data extractions, project leadership, web applications, device connectivity, and business automation support.
If applicant has only Minimum Required Education, must have been in Analyst I or Clinical System Instructor I position for at least 2 years. - Significant knowledge of operational workflows which relate to the application functionality assigned to the analyst.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office products, Outlook, SharePoint, or other standard collaboration tools.
- Computer literate.
Must obtain certification of Epic application in one or more application and recertification per release as appropriate.

- Able to problem solve, with analytical skills, working with adult learning. Strong communication skills in English required.
- Strong computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Office products and Outlook required.
