About the Facility

Fremont Hospital is a private, modern 148-bed behavioral healthcare facility that provides services to adolescents (ages 12-17) and adults. Services offered include treatment of psychiatric conditions, chemical dependency, and treatment of 'dual diagnosis' (co-existing psychiatric condition and chemical dependency). A variety of treatment programs are available, including inpatient care, partial hospitalization (day treatment) and an intensive outpatient program. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy.

This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy

Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm and Saturday, Sunday, and holidays from 7:00am-1:30pm. The pharmacy is supported by Omnicell automation.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provides strategic leadership and oversight for all pharmacy services within a single hospital, aligning operations with the hospital's clinical, quality, and financial goals
  • Ensures safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use, overseeing clinical pharmacy practice, medication safety, and formulary management
  • Leads, develops, and holds accountability for pharmacy leadership and staff, including managers, pharmacists, technicians, and support teams
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and legal requirements, including Joint Commission, CMS, USP, BOP and state/federal laws
  • Oversees pharmacy financial performance, including budgeting, purchasing, contract management, and cost-containment initiatives
  • Collaborates with executive leadership and interdisciplinary stakeholders, supporting system-wide patient care, quality, and safety initiatives
  • Drives innovation, performance improvement, and strategic growth, leveraging data, technology, and best practices to advance pharmacy services

Required Qualifications
  • B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Current Licensed Pharmacist in California
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using computer applications including pharmacy information systems, pharmacy software, word processing, and spreadsheets
  • Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing pharmacy services. Proficient in the use and application of new medications and technology
  • Knowledge of pathophysiology, interpretation of diagnostic criteria, pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapeutics
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively participate in interdisciplinary teams and committees
  • Proven leadership, administration, human resources, and managerial skills
  • Proven business acumen includes profit/loss understanding, contract negotiations, and GPO function
  • Proven problem solving and analytical thinking ability
  • Proven effective verbal and written communication skills

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.

The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment.
