The Role
Weee! is seeking a People Business Partner (PBP) to support our fast-growing corporate functions. This role is designed for someone who thinks like a business leader with HR expertise and people mindset. As a People Business Partner, you will sit at the intersection of business strategy, talent, and organizational design. You will partner closely with leaders to build high-performing teams, drive organizational effectiveness, and enable Weee!’s
growth through people systems, data-driven insights, and proactive workforce planning.
You will act as a trusted advisor to leaders, translating business goals into people strategies across performance, engagement, org design, talent development, and change management, while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex people and business challenges, and wants to directly influence company outcomes.
Responsibilities- Build good understanding of supported business units, their goals, challenges, and growth plans; translate business strategy into people and organizational solutions
- Serve as a strategic advisor to leaders on organizational effectiveness, performance management, leadership capability and workforce planning.
- Use data, trends, and insights to proactively identify people risks and opportunities and recommend actions that support business outcomes
- Partner with leaders to assess org structures, role clarity, and future talent needs; support org design, role definition, hiring strategy, and headcount planning in partnership with Talent Acquisition
- Partner with managers to drive high performance through goal setting, feedback and development, and calibration
- Assess team and individual development needs; recommend scalable programs, learning paths, and succession strategies
- Partner with L&D to design and deliver compliance and people manager training
- Provide guidance and risk-balanced solutions for employee relations, performance issues, and disciplinary actions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations and company policies; maintain strong documentation practices and partner with Legal/People Ops as needed
- Partner with People Ops to deliver a seamless employee lifecycle from onboarding through exit
- Champion Weee!’s culture and engagement strategy by driving department and company-wide initiatives
- Support change management efforts during org transitions, growth phases, and business transformations
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in an HRBP or Generalist role in a fast-growing environment
- Proven ability to partner with leaders, influence decisions, and navigate complex situations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working with senior leaders
- Self-starter with a growth mindset, strong ownership, and the humility to ask questions
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage ambiguity
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and compliance practices
- Proficient in Excel and Google Workspace
