The impact you’ll makeProvides leadership for those involved in the development, design and optimization of one or more information technology and systems functions supporting company business processes and technical information systems platforms. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analysis, selection and modification of enterprise systems, application software, installation of network hardware/software and database management. Provides direction for the effort required to protect the company’s data, tools and information systems.
Ensures infrastructure architecture standards maximize efficiency and support platform compatibility. Usually requires subject matter knowledge of user group for practical application of system characteristics. Coordinates delivery of services to user groups and ensures IT service is uninterrupted. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Position Overview
- Serve as a senior, executive-level individual contributor and trusted IT advisor to Finance leadership.
- Partner closely with Finance to align business strategy with technology direction, roadmaps, and investment priorities.
- Drive measurable business outcomes through digital transformation, process optimization, and technology enablement.
- Act as a strategic connector across IT, Finance, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise value.
- Serve as the primary IT Business Partner for Finance leaders, building credibility, trust, and long‑term partnerships.
- Translate Finance strategies, priorities, and challenges into actionable IT strategies and multi‑year roadmaps.
- Lead demand intake, prioritization, and value‑based investment planning for Finance‑related IT initiatives.
- Champion innovation by identifying opportunities for automation, modernization, and emerging technologies.
- Provide end‑to‑end oversight of Finance IT initiatives, coordinating across architects, project managers, and delivery teams.
- Establish and influence governance, operating rhythms, and decision forums to ensure successful execution.
- Monitor service performance, KPIs, and SLAs, proactively addressing risks and gaps.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and governance standards.
- Track, articulate, and report realized business value from IT investments to executive stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in IT business partnership, business relationship management, or similar strategic roles.
- Proven ability to operate at the executive level as a trusted advisor without direct people management.
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience working across multiple functions, geographies, and complex organizational environments.
- Direct experience supporting Finance organizations and senior Finance leaders.
- Strong understanding of Finance processes and systems such as ERP, compliance, controls, and automation.
- Experience guiding Finance‑related IT programs involving applications, data, and infrastructure.
- Professional certifications such as BRMP, CBRM, or ITIL.
