Position: Senior Azure Cloud Engineer(Data Services focused)

Design, build, and support Azure Data Services including Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, ADLS, Event Hub, Service Bus, Redis Cache, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse and associated data infrastructure.
Develop and enhance Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, or Ansible for consistent, repeatable provisioning of data environments.
Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment, schema operations, patching automation, and environment updates using Azure Dev Ops.
Provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex issues related to networking, identity, performance, connectivity, and data platform integration.
Implement automations for backups, patching, DR workflows, configuration drift detection, and platform monitoring.
Support AKS clusters for data microservices, operators, and related workloads including scaling, storage classes, networking, and observability.
Ensure security and compliance through Azure Policy, RBAC, Managed Identities, private endpoints, and data governance best practices.
Optimize cloud resource usage through performance tuning, capacity planning, and cost analysis for data workloads.
Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and security teams to ensure smooth delivery of data-related application requirements.
Document technical procedures, automation workflows, and environment standards for easy handoff and operational continuity.

Requirements

10+ years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, Dev Ops, or data platform engineering.
6+ years of hands‑on Azure engineering experience, with deep expertise in provisioning, securing, and supporting Azure Data Services.
Demonstrated mastery in Terraform, Bicep, or Ansible for building scalable, modular IaC frameworks supporting complex data environments.
Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Power Shell for building advanced automation, operational tooling, and integration scripts.
Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and data service lifecycle management.
In‑depth understanding of Azure data services—including Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, ADLS, Event Hub, Service Bus, Synapse, Redis Cache, Key Vault, Microsoft Fabric and related observability tooling.
Strong architectural knowledge of enterprise cloud networking: VNETs, NSGs, firewalls, private endpoints, private DNS, routing, hybrid connectivity, and secure data access paths.
Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes/AKS, Helm, operators, storage classes, secrets management, and supporting data-related microservices at scale.
Expertise with Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and building dashboards/alerts for data workloads and cloud infrastructure.
Solid understanding of cloud security and compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001) and their practical implementation for data systems, encryption, and governance.
Proven experience implementing identity and access controls using Azure AD, Conditional Access, RBAC, and Managed Identities.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional collaboration, influence architectural direction, and communicate technical decisions to both technical and executive stakeholders.
