Kaiser Permanente seeks a Testing Psychologist to lead evidence-based evaluation of our digital health products in an information technology and software environment. You will design, validate, and administer psychological tests to understand user behavior, cognitive load, and patient engagement across our platforms. Partnering closely with engineers, product managers, and UX teams, you will turn complex data into actionable insights that shape product roadmaps.
You will ensure ethical and regulatory compliance, contribute to A/B testing strategies, and continuously refine research methods to improve patient and provider experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design and conduct psychological testing protocols to evaluate user experience with Kaiser Permanente digital health products
- Develop, validate, and refine psychometric instruments to assess cognitive load, usability, and patient engagement
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative test data to identify patterns impacting user behavior and clinical outcomes
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and UX designers to translate findings into product requirements
- Prepare clear reports and presentations summarizing research outcomes and recommendations for stakeholders
- Ensure testing procedures comply with ethical, legal, and privacy standards for psychological and health data
- Support A/B and multivariate testing strategies to optimize product features and workflows
- Contribute to continuous improvement of research methodologies, documentation, and data governance practices
- Provide subject-matter expertise on psychological measurement, behavior change, and human-computer interaction
- Mentor team members on research best practices and interpretation of psychological test results
