Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Autonomous UAV Integration Engineer to support enterprise UAV system deployment, integration, and operational support across industrial, infrastructure, and field operation environments.

This role is focused on:

  • multi-platform UAV deployment and operations
  • software and system integration
  • field deployment and troubleshooting

rather than consumer drone applications or pure research-oriented development.

The ideal candidate should have strong real-world experience with commercial UAV systems, mission planning platforms, telemetry systems, enterprise UAV workflows, and multi-vendor drone ecosystems. Candidates should be comfortable deploying and supporting UAV systems in complex real-world operational environments.

This role also requires solid software and systems integration capabilities, including UAV software integration, API/SDK integration, telemetry pipeline integration, Linux/networking fundamentals, and onsite system debugging.

Responsibilities
  • Support deployment and operational management of enterprise UAV systems across industrial and infrastructure environments.
  • Support onsite integration, deployment, and debugging of autonomous UAV systems.
  • Integrate UAV software platforms, mission planning systems, telemetry systems, APIs, and operational data into internal systems and local operational platforms.

  • Work closely with software and hardware teams to support integration between UAV systems and local automation systems.
  • Coordinate integration across multiple UAV vendors, payload systems, sensors, and third-party software platforms.

  • Evaluate compatibility and integration feasibility of different UAV platforms, sensors, mission systems, and software ecosystems.
  • Support flight testing, operational validation, deployment planning, and field execution.
  • Assist with development and optimization of:
    • SOPs
    • Maintenance workflows
    • Safety procedures
    • Field operational processes
  • Support UAV operational planning including:
    • Site coordination
    • Battery and logistics management
    • Remote operations support
  • Ensure UAV operations comply with applicable U.S. federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support FAA-related operational processes including:
    • Licensing
    • Waivers
    • Flight approvals
    • Operational coordination
Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience in commercial UAV deployment, operations, systems integration, or field support environments.
  • Real‑world experience deploying enterprise UAV systems.
  • Familiarity with multiple drone platforms such as:
    • DJI
    • Skydio
    • Autel
    • Parrot
    • or other industrial UAV platforms
  • Strong understanding of enterprise UAV operations, field deployment, and systems integration workflows.
  • Experience with UAV software platforms, mission planning systems, telemetry systems, APIs, SDKs, or operational system integration.
  • Solid software and systems capabilities, including:
    • Python or scripting skills
    • API/SDK integration
    • Telemetry/data integration
  • Familiarity with remote operations systems, fleet management systems, or mission systems.
  • Familiarity with U.S. drone regulations, FAA operational requirements, airspace restrictions, and state/local UAV policies.
  • Familiarity with UAV‑related:
    • Licensing
    • Operational approvals
    • Compliance workflows
  • Strong troubleshooting and deployment support capabilities across:
    • Software
    • Networking
    • Communications
  • Strong vendor technical coordination and cross‑functional communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in fast‑moving startup and field operation environments.
  • Ability to support frequent onsite travel (30%+) including deployment, testing, and field operational support.

Preferred

  • FAA Part 107 certification.
  • Experience with enterprise UAV inspection or industrial automation deployments.
  • Familiarity with autonomous inspection workflows.
  • Experience in data centers, utilities, energy, industrial automation, security, or robotics industries.
  • Familiarity with:
    • Edge computing
    • Cloud/local telemetry systems
    • Remote UAV operations
  • Experience integrating multi‑platform UAV ecosystems.
