Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Onsite)
Compensation: $140,000 - $165,000 annually
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic NPI (New Product Introduction) Buyer to join our team in Fremont, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing material planning, procurement, and supplier collaboration to support prototype, pilot, and production phases for semiconductor gas flow control products. This role combines elements of strategic sourcing, inventory management, and cross‑functional coordination to ensure seamless product launches and ongoing manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain production, inventory, and project schedules for NPI and manufacturing activities.
- Forecast material demand based on engineering builds, customer demand, and sales projections.
- Create and manage purchase orders for mechanical, electrical, and semiconductor components using ERP systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to support prototype and pilot builds.
- Monitor supplier performance, lead times, shortages, and delivery schedules to mitigate risks.
- Analyze inventory levels to optimize stock, reduce excess, and prevent shortages.
- Support sourcing initiatives, vendor negotiations, and cost reduction efforts.
- Maintain accurate ERP/MRP data, including BOMs, lead times, and inventory records.
- Drive continuous improvement in supply chain and planning processes.
- Track build readiness, communicate potential risks, and coordinate with teams to ensure timely production.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Buyer/Planner roles, with a focus on supply chain operations.
- Experience supporting NPI/engineering build processes, preferably within semiconductor or electro‑mechanical manufacturing.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or Net Suite.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Ability to manage suppliers, navigate shortages, and adapt to schedule changes in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Semiconductor equipment or gas delivery systems knowledge, including Mass Flow Controllers (MFCs) and vacuum or chamber hardware.
- Familiarity with PCBAs, harnesses, sensors, and electromechanical assemblies.
- Experience handling Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and managing prototype‑to‑production transitions.
- Background in working within cleanroom manufacturing environments.
- Experience coordinating contract manufacturing (CM/JDM).
