The Facility Supervisor provides task-level direction and coordination on the floor for day-to-day facility operations, construction activities, and maintenance support across the manufacturing site. Reporting to the Facility Manager, this role serves as the primary on-floor point of contact for facility-related work and coordinates the daily activities of Facility Technicians and Handymen, who perform physical facility work including construction, equipment setup, and site modifications.

The Facility Supervisor serves as the primary point of coordination for facility-related requests, ensuring tasks are properly scoped, planned, scheduled, and completed efficiently.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for facility-related requests from all departments.
  • Conduct on-site walkthroughs with requesters to clarify task scope, requirements, constraints, and timelines.
  • Evaluate whether requests can be supported internally by the facility team or require external vendors; coordinate vendor quotations, lead times, and services when needed.
  • Develop task designs, execution plans, material lists, and estimated cycle times for facility work.
  • Communicate daily work assignments and schedules with Facility Technicians and Handymen and monitor task progress through completion.
  • Track and follow up on open facility requests to ensure timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.
  • Manage facility-related inventory, including material planning, purchasing coordination, storage, allocation, safety stock levels, and quantity control.
  • Maintain facility maintenance records, preventive maintenance schedules, and completion tracking.
  • Support continuous improvement of facility request processing speed, task planning accuracy, and execution efficiency.
  • Ensure facility work is performed in compliance with safety, cleanliness, and site requirements, including cleanroom standards where applicable.
  • Communicate task status, risks, and completion updates to the Facility Manager and requesting departments.
  • Perform other facility-related coordination and support duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong working knowledge of building construction, facility maintenance, and site infrastructure.
  • Ability to interpret requests, translate requirements into actionable designs and work plans, and estimate materials and labor accurately.
  • Strong coordination and task leadership skills to guide technicians’ daily work activities and prioritize multiple facility requests simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with internal departments, vendors, and management.
  • Practical problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to facility operations.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom environments or manufacturing facilities preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree or technical training in Facilities Management, Construction, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in facility operations, building construction, or industrial maintenance.
  • Prior experience supervising technicians, handymen, or skilled trades preferred.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or cleanroom environments is a strong plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or move materials and equipment weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, and move throughout facility buildings for extended periods.
  • Ability to use hands and arms to handle tools, materials, and equipment; reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing or construction environment with exposure to noise, dust, temperature changes, and facility-related odors.
