Quality Technician -1st Shift

The Fremont facility is a full-service enclosure systems solution manufacturing plant located in California’s Silicon Valley, producing low-to-mid volume NPI runs to full-scale volume with in-house painting capabilities, flexible logistics, repair services, and inventory management.

Job Purpose: We are seeking a skilled Quality Technician for our first shift to perform precision mechanical inspections on manufactured components. This role requires hands-on experience in CMM operation, manual inspection techniques ("hard checks"), and deep knowledge of GD&T for inspecting sheet metal, laser cut, and welded parts.

Location: Fremont, CA Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)

• Conduct first article, incoming, in-process, and final inspections on machined parts, sheet metal, and welded assemblies.
• Perform precise dimensional inspections (hard check) using manual tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) and CMMs.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, applying expert knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Operate CMMs (Zeiss or Brown & Sharpe or Mitutoyo) to verify parts against specifications.
• Document and report all inspection results and non-conformances accurately in the quality management system.
• Perform receiving inspection on incoming materials and components (raw materials and outside services).

• Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of quality control inspection in a manufacturing environment (sheet metal, machining, welding, assemblies).
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification is a plus.
• Blueprint & GD&T: Good level in reading engineering drawings and applying GD&T principles.
• Manual Inspection: Proficient with surface plate inspection and all standard hand-held measuring tools.
• CMM Operation: Hands-on experience is required. Preference for experience with Zeiss (Calypso) or Brown & Sharpe (PC-DMIS), or Mitutoyo (MCOSMOS). CMM programming is a plus, not required.

• Must possess visual acuity and manual dexterity.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Salary Range (annual): $62,400 -$70,720 ($30.00 - $34.00 per hour). Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package.
