The Manufacturing Technician will independently execute routine purification unit operations in a GMP manufacturing environment. This role supports safe, compliant, and efficient production activities while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to meet operational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently perform routine purification unit operations, including equipment changeovers, cleaning, setup, and shift-based scheduling.

  • Execute in-process testing such as cell counting, spectrophotometry, and environmental monitoring.

  • Monitor and control critical process parameters including weights, flow rates, volumes, temperature, pressure, and pH.

  • Identify, document, and report manufacturing, process, or safety issues to the team lead or manager; assist with deviation investigations and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Train junior staff on unit operations, including bioreactors, cell separation, chromatography, tangential flow filtration (TFF), and CIP/SIP operations.

  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with cGMP, safety standards, and client procedures, with a focus on timely and accurate execution.

  • Collaborate effectively within the team and department to follow best practices and meet production goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working in a GMP manufacturing environment; bulk manufacturing experience is a plus.

  • Technical knowledge of manufacturing systems, methods, and procedures.

  • Understanding of purification and/or cell culture processes.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills related to equipment and process operations.

  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
