To manage, control, and improve the Process Engineering technologies at the site. This role will be focused on developing process controls, standard work and managing technology roadmaps to align with the industry and customer needs. In addition, leading material and equipment qualifications to support manufacturing a quality product.
Duties:- Assume leadership of cross-functional teams responsible for executing the build plan, encompassing manpower, materials, machinery, and methodologies to establish manufacturing lines that align with business objectives and quality benchmarks.
- Assess customer requests for quotes against existing manufacturing capabilities, ensuring capacity and capability alignment with customer needs as outlined during the quoting phase.
- Work closely with Purchasing and Engineering departments to ensure the timely delivery of critical components for pilot manufacturing runs and mass production schedules.
- Oversee and address Engineering Change Order (ECO) issues pertaining to quality assurance compliance for shipments related to new product introductions.
- Create comprehensive quality planning documents to guide manufacturing processes.
- Guarantee that customer requirements are clearly understood and effectively communicated throughout the organization.
- Lead product change activities for new or revised products within the manufacturing factory, aiming to meet or surpass project milestones.
- Participate in and lead cross-functional change control forums, providing transparent updates on progress and recovery strategies when necessary to realign projects with their targets.
- Work closely with design engineering teams to develop, validate, and maintain the Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) and product deviations for a designated group of parts.
- Ensure validation and readiness of all factory systems (MRP, ERP, MES, etc.) for each transition.
- Supervise the complete manufacturing validation process for a designated group of parts, managing supply chain readiness and transition, addressing excess and obsolescence issues, and overseeing post-change activities.
- Develop a comprehensive validation plan, including success criteria and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for product changes or coordinated groups of products undergoing change.
- Ensure strict adherence to NPI processes across all activities, such as Process Change Authorization (PCA) and Manufacturing Readiness Team (MRT) procedures.
- Organize and track open points and actions critical to ensuring a seamless introduction of changes, communicating them effectively as actionable items.
- Foster integration and results across cross-functional teams spanning engineering, quality, production, production control, sales, service, and more.
- Author timely project status reports, summaries, and issue resolution tracking reports.
- Administer NPI structure criteria and processes, ensuring alignment with the commodity.
- Drive innovation in the ongoing structure and take the lead on new program strategies.
- Modify or create work instructions for products based on observations of the product build cycle.
- Facilitate and support Quarterly Business Reviews and lead the resolution of subsequent actions.
- Coordinate visits to customer sites as necessary.
- May require occasional travel to meet the business's needs (up to 25%).
