Engineering Technician

The ideal candidate has engineering or related experience, strong mechanical aptitude, math and geometry skills, and attention to detail.

Write technical work instructions for manufacturing

Participate in release of the new products to manufacturing

Build manufacturing fixtures and jigs

Resolve problems and make routine recommendations

Assist engineers in trouble shooting and modifications

Operate manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment

Work independently under general supervision

• Review production data to identify potential areas of non conformance
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications, follow schedules, shop instructions or orders, SOPs and any other manufacturing documentation
• Fit, align, and adjust machines or assemblies to meet required tolerances and product operating requirements
• Identify deviations that could impact productivity and elevate issues appropriately
• Work safely and efficiently while following all PPE requirements and participating in safety programs that maintain a clean and safe work environment. (PPE may include uniform shirts, safety boots, hairnets/headcovers/face shields, gloves, etc.)
• May work in a cleanroom environment some of the time
• Maintain logs and required documentation using required computer systems
• Demonstrate troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and problem solving skills

Qualifications and Skills

Ability to operate manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment and adhere to safety policies

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment

Strong verbal and written communication skills

CAD familiarity and view configuration management

Advanced troubleshooting and problem solving skills

Capacity to function effectively in a cross-disciplinary environment

Intermediate MS Office, Outlook, Word and Excel skills

• Visual acuity and manual dexterity
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb stair ladders, and lift up to 50lbs
• Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Basic computer skills, working knowledge of an ERP system (Oracle Cloud a plus), MS Office suite

Experience, Education,

Certifications:

2-4+ years engineering or related work experience

A.A. Degree or equivalent work experience, or any combination of education and experience

Previous experience applying engineering technology theories

The pay range for this position is $24.38 to $41.44 per hour, nonexempt.
