Set-Up Technician

The Setup Technician is responsible for setting up multiple work centers each day, working advanced machine centers, and providing support to lower-level employees. The role requires a blend of technical skills and teamwork to maintain a safe and productive Lean operation.

• Tend to difficult jobs and advanced processes in multiple work centers while providing support to lower-level employees.
• Ensure a Lean operation that is safe and productive.
• Make basic work holding for a waterjet.
• Remove finished components from holding fixtures and examine for defects and completeness of operation.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Training typically covers safety, quality, and productivity topics beyond those received by most operators or setup operators.

• Basic knowledge of manufacturing principles, advanced machine knowledge, advanced problem solving, advanced drawing reading, advanced use of inspection instruments and hand tools, interpret written instructions.
• Basic programming skills.
• Read and interpret prints.
• Perform basic machine maintenance on a flow mach 4.
• Inspect work using calipers, gauge pins, and standard inspection equipment.
• Aid in the development and writing of work instructions or processes.
• Light water jet programming is a plus.

Location:

Fremont, CA

Day Shift: 5:00 am–1:30 pm;
Night Shift: 1:30 pm–10:00 pm

Salary: $28.00–$35.00 per hour
