A global specialty chemicals organization is seeking a Process Engineer II to support batch manufacturing operations within a high-performance production environment. This is a hands‑on role focused on process optimization, scale‑up, and day‑to‑day manufacturing support, offering the opportunity to make a direct impact on plant performance and product quality.

The Process Engineer II will be responsible for:

  • Batch Process Support
    - Oversee multi-step chemical processes including charging, heating/cooling, sequencing, and batch control in a production environment.
  • Process Optimization
    - Identify inefficiencies, reduce variability, and improve yield through data‑driven process improvements.
  • Scale‑Up & Tech Transfer
    - Support transition of formulations from lab/pilot to full-scale manufacturing, including trials and commissioning.
  • Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis
    - Investigate production, quality, and equipment issues using structured problem‑solving and SPC tools.
  • Documentation & Compliance
    - Develop and maintain SOPs, batch records, and work instructions while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Self‑starter mindset with ability to proactively identify and address process challenges in a manufacturing environment.

The Process Engineer II should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or batch processing environments.
  • Hands‑on experience supporting production, including troubleshooting and process improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with SPC, data analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma preferred).
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE) and standard engineering tools/software is a plus.
