Summary
The Anode Prep Technician will support production operations by performing tasks such as preparing and assembling silicon anode materials for incorporation into lithium-ion cells. The technician will work with various materials and equipment to ensure the anodes meet specific requirements for efficiency and longevity. This is a 6-month TEMP role with possibility of extension.
Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate anode processing equipment such as furnaces, coating systems, punching tools, in accordance with established procedures and safety protocols.
- Assembly of anode raw materials into carriers for use in subsequent processing steps
- Measure materials with drop gage, mass scale, and imaging stations
- Assist with processing of product from production tools (cutting into sheets, etc.)
- Visually evaluate defects from a list of standard defects
- Construct test samples for material performance verification
- Use basic computer skills to input and track data in production systems. Report any issues to the supervisor.
- Meet daily production quotas to support team efficiency and output goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow company's safety protocols.
- Follow standard work instructions and recommend improvements
- Proficient with hand tools and production equipment.
- Exceptional manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
- Basic computer skills and ability to enter data accurately
- Attention to detail and focus on quality.
- Willingness to adhere to safety and company policies.
- Team work oriented mind-set.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience as an equipment operator or technician in one of the following industries:
Semiconductor, solar, battery, electronics, or automotive
- Fremont, CA:
This is an on-site job. Reliable commute or planning to relocate before starting work is required. - Adhere to company's quality and safety requirements.
- Be able to lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds.
- May be required to stand, sit, squat, bend, kneel, twist, crawl, reach, lift, balance, push, and pull
- Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, respirator and safety shoes.
- Alternate Workweek Schedule (AWS): 3-days x 12-hour / 4-days x 12-hour every other week.
- Shift timings from 5:30 am to 6:00 pm
- Salary: $23.00 - $28.00 depending on experience.
