* Role and Responsibilities:

* + Read and interpret Work Instruction's to determine specific welding requirements

+ Weld horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions

+ Position and clamps parts together in fixtures

+ Accurately count all pieces to ensure quality control of parts prior to welding

+ Operate welding equipment according to operating manual

+ Complete required paperwork in a correct and timely manner

+ Operate hoist and power lift stand

+ Load and unload jigs

+ Perform leak testing checks on finished welding products

+ Follow Standard Operating Procedures and/or Work Instructions exactly as written to produce a quality product

+ Fabricate components for use in a solid oxide fuel cell electrical power generator

+ Maintain all machine shop equipment and 5S upkeep

+ Notify management of shop consumables (i.e. cutting oils, welding gasses, tooling and bits, etc.) in order to maintain inventories

+ Create assembly and fabrication fixtures

+ Address and recommend improved methods for creating hardware and assemblies

+ Perform basic job functions as directed safely and efficiently

+ Perform other duties as assigned

* Skills and Experience:

*
* + High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

+ 1 year required experience in TIG Welding required

+ 2-3 years working experience preferred where hands on manufacturing practices were required

+ Required experience in following required work instructions

+ Preferred valid certificate in Welding from an accredited institution

+ Must have mechanical skills and able to use basic shop tools and equipment

* Physical Requirements:

*
* + Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks.

+ Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. at a time.

+ Must have manual dexterity in order to assemble products as directed.

+ Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.

+ Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

+ Could be required to wear a respirator and pass a Fit test.
