Senior Engineering Technician

Senior Engineering Technician - on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company - responsible for rapid prototyping and low-volume hardware assembly of automotive electronic systems.

• Follow detailed procedures and work instructions to ensure accuracy and repeatability.
• Assist engineers in developing and improving manufacturing and assembly processes for new products.
• Assemble and test a variety of electronic hardware from prototypes to short-run production builds.
• Support troubleshooting and propose alternative assembly techniques to resolve issues.
• Perform quality checks and act as a quality delegate, inspecting work of other technicians.
• Conduct final product testing according to written procedures and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring equipment is properly used and maintained.
• Communicate clearly and proactively to ensure work meets project timelines and quality expectations.
• Work independently on routine tasks with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively across teams.
• Demonstrate reliability through consistent attendance and punctuality.

• Bachelor's degree is not required if equivalent experience is demonstrated.
• 6 to 8 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience, preferably in low-volume manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of electronics assembly: soldering, crimping, pin insertion/removal, torque tools.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical documents, and drawings.
• Proficient in standard assembly tools and hand instruments; lab experience with soldering, power supplies, signal generators, oscilloscopes.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication.
• Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) for data entry and documentation.
• Knowledge of IPC-610, IPC-620 or JSTD-10 standards.
• Hands-on experience with PLM software / 3D modeling or ERP (SAP/Oracle) is a plus.
• Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment with minimal oversight.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a lean, startup-style setting.
• Early startup experience is a plus.
