Dexmate Job Opportunity
Dexmate is building the foundation for physical AI — a unified platform that combines high-quality robotic hardware with a universal Physical AI OS, making robots as easy to build and deploy as software. Today, robotics is fragmented, slow, and closed: most builders are forced to reinvent the same stack again and again, and most ideas never make it past the prototype stage.
We exist to change that. Our mission is to democratize robotics by lowering the barrier to entry, delivering a plug-and-play platform for developers, researchers, and enterprises, and cultivating an open ecosystem that accelerates the evolution of physical AI.
If you want to help shape the next layer of human capability — and believe the future of robotics should be built together, not in isolation — we'd love to build it with you.
What You'll DoProgramming & machining
- Create and optimize CNC programs in CAM software (Fusion 360, Mastercam, or similar).
- Set up and run 5-axis Haas mills and Haas lathes to produce precision prototype components from drawings, CAD models, and toolpaths.
- Select tooling, cutting parameters, and machining strategies across a wide range of materials.
Fixturing & work holding
- Design, fabricate, and modify fixtures, jigs, and work holding solutions for high-mix, low-volume work.
Inspection & finishing
- Perform first-article inspections and verify dimensional accuracy with precision measuring equipment.
- Deburr, finish, tap, ream, and bench-fit parts to spec.
Collaboration & shop operations
- Support mechanical assembly of prototypes, engineering fixtures, and test equipment.
- Work directly with design and manufacturing engineers to improve manufacturability, machining efficiency, and part quality.
- Manage raw stock, tooling, and finished parts with clear organization and traceability.
- Maintain equipment, tooling, and a clean, safe workspace, and follow all safety and quality procedures.
- 4+ years of CNC machining experience, ideally in prototype or low-volume work.
- Hands-on experience programming and running 5-axis Haas mills and Haas lathes.
- Proficiency with CAM software (Fusion 360, Mastercam, or equivalent).
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T.
- Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, plastics, and other engineering materials.
- Experience designing and building custom fixtures and work holding.
- Solid bench and assembly skills: deburring, tapping, reaming, fitting, finishing.
- Proficiency with precision inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, bore gauges).
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with engineers and technicians.
- Experience supporting robotics, automation, aerospace, or other R&D prototype environments.
- Familiarity with a parametric CAD package such as Solid Works (for editing models and designing fixtures).
- Working knowledge of process optimization, fixture design, and work holding best practices.
- Experience on additional machine tools (manual mill, manual lathe, surface grinder, etc.).
