Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
This position works the day shift, 6am - 2:30pm, Monday-Friday. It is fully on-site in Fremont, CA.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair all downed machines in Stack Manufacturing
- Perform machine installations or modifications as instructed
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules
- Review spares inventory and inform the spares team when spare parts are used
- Evaluate equipment and create maintenance procedures and error logs about said equipment
- Suggest improvements for tool set
- Implement engineering upgrades to machines
- Support equipment testing group
- Ensure proper LOTO compliance
- Lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Maneuver into tight places or on the ground as needed to perform repairs
- Stand, crouch, kneel, bend over, or otherwise maintain an out-of-normal position for extended periods of time to perform repairs
- Stand or walk for extended periods in a large manufacturing facility while performing maintenance duties
- Use a PC and programs such as Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and CMMS software
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Well-rounded in mechanical systems such as pneumatics, vacuum systems, motor alignment, hoists, etc.
- Well-rounded in electrical (up to 480 VAC) systems: VFDs, motor/encoder systems, high-temperature systems, etc.
- Experience with high-temperature systems up to 1200C PLC & Automation
- MIG, TIG, and Arc welding experience a plus
- Tool & Die precision measurement and adjustment skills including laser measurements
- Experience with Rolling Hearth Kilns (RHKs) – maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs
- Experience repairing machinery in a high-volume manufacturing atmosphere
- Superior communication skills (written, verbal, and active listening)
- Intermediate skill level with MS Word and Excel;
PowerPoint proficiency a plus - Highly motivated self-starter capable of self-management with little to no oversight
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationships; ability to participate on multidisciplinary teams
Salary ranges: $35.98 - $51.76.
