Our client, Bloom Energy, a leading organization in advanced manufacturing and energy solutions, is seeking a dedicated Welder to join their team. As a Welder, you will be an integral part of the manufacturing department supporting the production of high-quality components. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Welder, Direct Hire

Location: Fremont, CA

Pay Range: $32-$34 per hour

Shift: TBA

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret Work Instruction’s to determine specific welding requirements
  • Weld horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions
  • Position and clamp parts together in fixtures
  • Accurately count all pieces to ensure quality control of parts prior to welding
  • Operate welding equipment according to operating manual
  • Complete required paperwork in a correct and timely manner
  • Operate hoist and power lift stand
  • Load and unload jigs
  • Perform leak testing checks on finished welding products
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and/or Work Instructions exactly as written to produce a quality product
  • Fabricate components for use in a solid oxide fuel cell electrical power generator
  • Maintain all machine shop equipment and 5S upkeep
  • Notify management of shop consumables (i.e. cutting oils, welding gasses, tooling and bits, etc.) in order to maintain inventories
  • Create assembly and fabrication fixtures
  • Address and recommend improved methods for creating hardware and assemblies
  • Perform basic job functions as directed safely and efficiently
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 1 year required experience in TIG Welding required
  • 2-3 years working experience preferred where hands on manufacturing practices were required
  • Required experience in following required work instructions
  • Preferred valid certificate in Welding from an accredited institution
  • Must have mechanical skills and be able to use basic shop tools and equipment
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. at a time.
  • Must have manual dexterity to assemble products as directed.
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Could be required to wear a respirator and pass a Fit test.
