Position: Precision Welder (MIG & TIG)

Location:

Fremont, CA Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Schedule:

1st Shift: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Swing Shift: Monday–Friday | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Pay: $34.00 – $37.00 per hour

Join Our Manufacturing Team

We are seeking a Skilled TIG/MIG Fabrication Welder to join a growing manufacturing team in Fremont, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced welders who take pride in producing high-quality work and enjoy working in a precision manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has experience welding stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel while maintaining strict quality standards and close tolerances.

What You ll Do
  • Perform precision TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding on sheet metal and fabricated components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions.
  • Set up welding equipment and fixtures to meet production requirements.
  • Verify dimensions and weld quality using calipers, weld gauges, tape measures, and other measuring tools.
  • Operate common fabrication tools such as grinders, drills, and hand tools.
  • Inspect completed welds and perform repairs or touch-ups when necessary.
  • Maintain welding equipment and report maintenance needs.
  • Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 4 years of TIG and MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
  • Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment.
  • Ability to maintain close dimensional tolerances.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • AWS or ASME welding certifications are a plus but not required.
  • Ability to successfully complete a practical welding assessment.
