Precision Manufacturing Operator
Job DescriptionThe Precision Manufacturing Operator is responsible for operating CNC machining equipment to produce high-quality components in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and production requirements. This position ensures machines are operated safely and efficiently, materials are properly loaded and unloaded, and finished products meet quality standards. The role also supports general shop organization, equipment upkeep, and continuous production flow.
Responsibilities- Operate CNC machining equipment using engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
- Load and unload raw materials, work pieces, and finished components while maintaining production schedules.
- Inspect and measure completed parts using appropriate measuring tools to ensure compliance with quality and dimensional requirements.
- Meet or exceed established production goals and efficiency standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance activities.
- Organize and maintain tooling, hardware, materials, and workstations to support efficient operations.
- Report production, equipment, quality, or safety concerns to supervisors in a timely manner.
- Follow all manufacturing procedures, quality requirements, and work instructions.
- Support additional manufacturing and shop-related duties as assigned.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Basic mathematical, reading, and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent verbal communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow technical instructions and work procedures.
- Ability to read and use precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and related inspection equipment.
- Knowledge of shop safety practices and manufacturing environments.
- Dependable, organized, and capable of working independently or within a team setting.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3–5 years of CNC machining or manufacturing experience.
- Experience operating CNC mills, lathes, or similar machining equipment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
- Experience using precision measurement tools and performing dimensional inspections preferred.
- Day - 6:00AM - 2:35PM
