We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team and contribute to a cutting-edge technology sector. In this fully on-site role based out of our Fremont facility, you will play a key part in our production process, reporting directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor to build high-quality assemblies. There are various shifts available including 6am - 6pm or 6pm - 6am 3-4 days a week with overtime included.

Qualifications

& Experience
  • Education:

    High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Welding Expertise: A minimum of 1 year of TIG welding experience is preferred; a valid welding certification from an accredited school is highly advantageous.
  • Manufacturing Background: 2–3 years of hands-on experience in a production or manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Mechanical aptitude with the ability to confidently operate standard shop equipment and tools.
  • Instruction Following:
    Proven track record of following strict technical guidelines and work orders.

salary: $62,400 - $72,800 per year shift:

Responsibilities
  • Welding & Fabrication: Join components across multiple positions (including overhead, vertical, and horizontal) and construct assembly/fabrication fixtures.
  • Blueprint & Guide Interpretation: Read, comprehend, and precisely execute tasks according to written Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Part Preparation: Secure and align components using clamps and fixtures, and verify part counts to maintain quality control before starting the weld.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely run welding machinery, power lifts, and hoists in accordance with manufacturer manuals. Load and unload production jigs.
  • Quality & Testing: Conduct leak tests on completed welds to verify product integrity, specifically fabricating parts utilized in solid oxide fuel cell power generators.
  • Shop Maintenance (5S): Keep the machine shop clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards. Monitor stock levels of shop consumables (such as tooling, bits, gases, and cutting oils) and alert management to reorder.
  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement enhanced methods for hardware creation and assembly processes.
  • Documentation & Safety: Accurately complete all production paperwork on schedule, maintain a safe work environment, and handle other duties as assigned.
The essential functions of this role include:
