Senior Plastic Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled Senior Plastic Fabricator capable of managing the entire production process from initial blueprint to final product with little oversight. You will take the lead on high-precision tasks, utilize your expertise in plastic welding and bending to ensure parts meet exacting finish and tolerance standards, and provide guidance to junior staff members.

• Analyze and translate intricate blueprints, technical drawings, and production orders.
• Utilize ovens, strip heaters, routers, and saws to heat, shape, cut, and bond various plastic materials.
• Execute advanced plastic bonding techniques, including solvent bonding, extrusion, and hot-air welding.
• Ensure the production of high-quality components that satisfy the strict tolerances required by the semiconductor and medical device industries.
• Verify that all finished parts meet specifications by performing your own quality control checks with micrometers and calipers.
• Refine and polish surfaces to ensure they align with our clients' high-quality aesthetic requirements.
• Support the growth of the team by overseeing and mentoring junior fabricators during daily operations.
• Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by keeping your station clean and adhering to all safety protocols.

• Possession of a GED or high school diploma.
• Minimum of three years of practical experience in a custom plastic fabrication setting.
• Proven technical proficiency in plastic welding and precision bending methods.
• Background in fabricating components to tight tolerances for high-precision sectors like medical devices or semiconductors.
• Ability to utilize precision measurement instruments like calipers to ensure your output meets quality standards.
• Demonstrated capacity to operate independently, prioritizing your own tasks and managing your workflow effectively.
• Deep understanding of how various plastic materials react to chemical exposure and heat.
• Skilled in the operation of shop machinery, hand tools, and power tools.
• Competency in applying advanced shop math and interpreting complex blueprints.
• Expertise in plastic extrusion processes.
