Formulation Technician Job Description. As a Formulation Technician, you will be responsible for preparing chemical solutions and formulations based on standardized or experimental protocols. You will conduct synthesis and blending of raw materials to create new or improved chemical products, and operate lab equipment such as mixers, reactors, pH meters, and viscometers. Your role also involves performing stability, purity, and potency testing on formulations, recording detailed data in lab notebooks and digital systems, and assisting in scaling formulations from lab to pilot or full production.

Additionally, you will troubleshoot formulation issues, adjust component ratios as needed, and ensure all formulations meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in chemical formulation or synthesis.
• Strong understanding of chemical interactions, solubility, and stability.
• Familiarity with analytical techniques such as HPLC and spectroscopy.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards like GMP, GLP, and SDS handling.
• Excellent documentation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

You will work in a laboratory setting, operating various lab equipment and handling chemical substances. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards, ensuring a clean and safe work environment. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential, and maintaining accurate documentation is crucial.

This is a Contract position based out of Fremont, CA.
