About This Role

The Staff Nurse II is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients, providing care through the nursing process and collaboration with the healthcare team. This role is ideal for experienced nurses looking to work in an inpatient psychiatric setting.

• Pay: $112 - $133/hour
• Location: Fremont, CA
• Facility: Fremont Hospital
• Department/Unit: Psych - Closed Unit 1
• Schedule: Call-in/On-Call

• Perform assessment/data collection focusing on various patient statuses.
• Formulate goal-directed plans of care.
• Implement care consistently and thoroughly.
• Establish priorities based on patient needs and available resources.
• Identify and meet patient/family learning needs.
• Demonstrate awareness of patient/family rights and cultural beliefs.
• Provide and coordinate care for patient populations.
• Establish effective working relationships with healthcare team members.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care given by team members.
• Participate in staff development activities.

• Education:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program
• Experience:
  • 2 years of recent experience in inpatient psychiatric nursing
  • 6 months recent experience in med-surg
• Licenses &

  • Current Registered Nurse License in California
  • Basic Life Support certification required
