Position Summary

The Senior Imaging & Testing Specialist is responsible for operating, maintaining, and optimizing advanced fluoroscopy and angiography imaging systems used to support the development and testing of innovative neurovascular and endovascular medical devices.

This role works closely with Research & Development, Clinical, Marketing, Medical Education, engineering, and healthcare professionals to support bench-top, simulated-use, and non-human vascular testing throughout the product development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with angiography or catheterization laboratory imaging systems
, strong knowledge of radiation safety and laboratory operations
, and familiarity with endovascular or interventional procedure workflows.

Key Responsibilities Advanced Imaging & Laboratory Operations
  • Operate and optimize monoplane and biplane fluoroscopy and angiography imaging systems to support medical device testing.
  • Support advanced imaging applications, including 2D and 3D angiographic visualization, vessel road mapping, and imaging acquisitions.
  • Perform system setup, calibration, software updates, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance of imaging equipment.
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors and technical service providers to resolve technical issues and maintain operational readiness.
  • Maintain imaging system documentation, compliance records, and medical physicist reports.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on fluoroscopic imaging systems and angiography suite operations.
Preclinical Device Testing Support
  • Prepare, assemble, and maintain in vitro vascular models, including 3D-printed components and tubing systems, used for device evaluations.
  • Support simulated-use testing, proof‑of‑concept studies, design verification activities, physician events, product demonstrations, and internal training.
  • Assist with the setup of simulated procedures and provide control‑room support during physician‑led testing activities.
  • Provide technical expertise on imaging workflows and endovascular procedural techniques during device evaluations.
  • Support room turnover, post‑test cleanup, and preparation for subsequent testing activities.
Laboratory Readiness & Inventory Management
  • Maintain laboratory organization, cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness.
  • Assist with inventory management of testing supplies, consumables, and laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure testing areas are properly configured for R&D activities, physician events, demonstrations, and training.
  • Support equipment and supply organization to ensure efficient daily laboratory operations.
Safety & Compliance
  • Promote a strong culture of safety and compliance across laboratory operations.
  • Support radiation safety programs, dosimetry monitoring, PPE compliance, and ALARA principles.
  • Ensure appropriate radiation safety procedures are followed during testing activities.
  • Help ensure personnel participating in testing activities have appropriate training and use required protective equipment.
  • Comply with applicable company policies, regulatory requirements, and California radiation safety procedures.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
  • Provide technical guidance to R&D and cross‑functional teams regarding imaging system capabilities and best practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers, healthcare professionals, customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate technical information clearly and professionally in a customer‑facing and cross‑functional environment.
Required Qualifications
  • Hands‑on experience working in a cardiac catheterization laboratory, angiography suite, interventional imaging environment, or similar setting
    .
  • Experience operating fluoroscopy, angiography, or catheterization laboratory imaging systems
    .
  • Experience with Philips or Siemens imaging platforms required; experience with Philips Azurion, Siemens ICONO, GE, or similar systems is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of laboratory operations and radiation safety practices
