Job Purpose
We are seeking a skilled Quality Technician for our first shift to perform precision mechanical inspections on manufactured components. This role requires hands‑on experience in CMM operation, manual inspection techniques ("hard checks"), and a deep knowledge of GD&T for inspecting sheet metal, laser cut, and welded parts.

Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
- Conduct first article, incoming, in‑process, and final inspections on machined parts, sheet metal, and welded assemblies.
- Perform precise dimensional inspections (hard check) using manual tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) and CMMs.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings, applying expert knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
- Operate CMMs (Zeiss or Brown & Sharpe or Mitutoyo) to verify parts against specifications.
- Document and report all inspection results and non‑conformances accurately in the quality management system.
- Perform receiving inspection on incoming materials and components (raw materials and outside services).
- Minimum 2-4 years of quality control inspection in a manufacturing environment (sheet metal, machining, welding, assemblies).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification is a plus.
- Good level in reading engineering drawings and applying GD&T principles.
- Proficient with surface plate inspection and all standard hand‑held measuring tools.
- Hands‑on experience with CMM operation required (Zeiss Calypso, Brown & Sharpe PC‑DMIS, or Mitutoyo MCOSMOS).
- CMM programming is a plus, not required.
- Strong attention to detail, clear communication, computer proficiency (MS Office), and ability to work independently.
- Must possess visual acuity and manual dexterity; ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Salary RangeAnnual: $58,240 – $62,400 ($28.00 – $30.00 per hour). Total rewards package includes health insurance, life & disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays, paid time off, eligibility for restricted stock unit awards, and discretionary bonus program.
