If you thrive in a forward-moving atmosphere and want to grow at the speed of the AI revolution, this is the place to define your career.
The Failure Analysis Quality Engineer is responsible for identifying, investigating, and resolving product and manufacturing issues related to liquid cooling systems, including CDUs, manifolds, and associated components. This role serves as the primary owner of failure investigations, driving root cause identification, corrective actions, and long-term quality improvements across manufacturing, suppliers, and product design.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on problem solver who enjoys troubleshooting complex issues and working cross-functionally to eliminate recurring failures.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities- Lead investigations of product failures, manufacturing defects, and customer-reported quality issues.
- Identify root causes through hands‑on troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, and failure analysis techniques.
- Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies including 8D, 5 Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagrams, and FMEA.
- Develop and document failure analysis reports with clear findings and recommended actions.
- Own quality issues from initial detection through final resolution.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Suppliers to implement corrective actions.
- Verify effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure permanent resolution of recurring issues.
- Drive containment activities when urgent quality issues arise.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fluid-system issues associated with CDU products.
- Support production teams in resolving assembly, testing, and process-related quality problems.
- Analyze quality trends and identify opportunities for process and product improvements.
- Participate in NPI activities to proactively identify and mitigate potential failure modes.
- Analyze returned products and customer failures to determine root causes.
- Support customer quality investigations and provide technical findings.
Work closely with field service teams to resolve product reliability concerns.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field is preferred. Candidates with equivalent hands‑on manufacturing or failure analysis experience are encouraged to apply.
- 6+ years of experience in Failure Analysis, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, Reliability Engineering, or a related field.
