C&H Enterprises is seeking Mechanical Inspectors at multiple experience levels to join our Quality team in Fremont and Stockton, California. We are looking for individuals who take pride in precision, have a strong eye for detail, and want to build a career in quality within a high-precision manufacturing environment.

What You'll DoDepending on experience and level, responsibilities may include:
- Perform in-process, first-piece, final, and roving inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
- Inspect precision-machined components using mechanical inspection practices and precision measuring equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
- Use precision inspection equipment and gauges to verify dimensional requirements.
- Perform visual inspections of surface finishes and verify conformance to specifications.
- Measure and verify surface roughness requirements using appropriate inspection equipment.
- Document inspection results accurately and completely.
- Prepare discrepant material reports and other quality documentation.
- Support investigations and resolution of nonconforming material.
- Collect inspection data for customer final inspection reports and documentation packages.
- Communicate inspection findings with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and other departments.
- Provide inspection guidance and technical support to production personnel as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and organized inspection records.
- Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Our Senior/Tier 3 Mechanical Inspector will take on a higher level of technical responsibility, including:
- Advanced dimensional inspection of complex precision-machined components.
- CMM programming, operation, and troubleshooting using Zeiss Calypso.
- Advanced application of GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation.
- Welding inspection in accordance with applicable industry standards and engineering drawing requirements.
- Participation in Material Review Board (MRB) activities and customer returns.
- Provide technical inspection guidance to other inspectors and departments.
- Work independently to identify, analyze, and resolve inspection and quality issues.
- Support customer inspection documentation and final inspection requirements.
- The Senior/Tier 3 level is intended for an experienced quality professional who can independently perform advanced inspection activities and provide technical support to others.
The Tier 2 Inspector should have previous hands‑on inspection or manufacturing experience and be capable of performing routine inspection activities with increasing independence.
Candidates should have experience with:
- Mechanical inspection practices.
- Precision measuring tools and gauges.
- Engineering drawing interpretation.
- GD&T fundamentals.
- In-process and final inspection.
- Inspection documentation and quality records.
- Identifying and communicating nonconforming conditions.
- Working effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
