We are looking for a
** Metrology Technician
** to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to the
** Senior Manager of Metrology
** and will be based in Fremont, CA. This is a fully on-site, in factory role.

Responsibilities:
* Provide shift coverage (weekends) of all Metrology Engineering activities across multiple functional areas for fuel cell manufacturing.
* Provide rapid response to metrology and inspection equipment downtime and out-of-control conditions. Responsibilities include verifying the validity of detected defects, optimizing inspection software to minimize false rejects, and troubleshooting issues across optical, mechanical, and electrical systems.
* Demonstrate the ability to identify and respond to abnormal conditions, coordinating containment actions and implementing corrective measures within a cross-functional team environment.
* Communicate effectively with team members and deliver clear, timely daily reports to the team.
* Perform routine measurements, conduct equipment calibrations, and execute Gauge R&R studies to ensure measurement accuracy and system reliability.

Efficiency and Workmanship:
* Ensure work meets or exceeds company workmanship standards. Continuously improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or relevant coursework preferred.

Skills and Experience:

* High school diploma or equivalent (GED); technical certifications or relevant coursework with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing or related environment.
* Demonstrate hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting high-precision machinery and vision inspection systems.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality standards.
* Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to technical issues.
* Ability to follow direction, meet deadlines, and collaborate in a team environment
* Excellent verbal and written skill set.
* Familiarity with optics and vision system programming is preferred.
