Job Description:
The Quality Inspector will support our client's manufacturing operations by performing inspections of machined parts, assemblies, incoming materials, and finished products to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards. This individual will work closely with production teams to identify defects, document findings, support corrective actions, and maintain quality compliance within a precision manufacturing environment.
- Inspect machined parts and assemblies using precision measuring tools and equipment.
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to verify product quality.
- Maintain detailed inspection records and quality documentation.
- Create Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when defects are identified.
- Communicate inspection results to production teams and management.
- Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all quality standards, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- CMM Experience (Coordinate Measuring Machine) 2-3+ years of Quality Inspection experience.
- Experience in a machine shop, precision manufacturing, aerospace, semiconductor, or similar environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, and height gauges.
- Experience creating inspection reports and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Hands-on experience with ZEISS CMM equipment.
- Experience developing and running Calypso programs.
- Semiconductor manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of ASME and ANSI quality standards.
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification.
