Job Title: Senior Technician – Regulatory Sciences
Location: Fremont, CA (5 DAYS ON-SITE)
Duration: 9 month contract
Pay Rate: $28-$31/hr W2
OverviewWe are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Technician – Regulatory Sciences to support analytical testing and regulatory science activities in a laboratory environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in analytical chemistry who is comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and contributing to a highly regulated environment. The position involves hands‑on laboratory testing, data analysis, research, and reporting, with a strong emphasis on precision, documentation, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Analytical Testing
- Perform FTIR (Fourier‑transform infrared spectroscopy) and other analytical chemistry testing (FTIR experience highly preferred)
- Execute testing procedures in accordance with established SOPs and regulatory standards
- Reporting & Documentation
- Compile, analyze, and document test results in detailed technical reports
- Maintain accurate and compliant records using tools such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Docu Sign
- Research & Analysis
- Conduct research on chemical compounds and their properties to support regulatory assessments
- Apply critical thinking to determine appropriate depth of research without over‑analysis
- Lab Operations
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standards
- Handle and process contaminated products in accordance with established protocols
- General Responsibilities
- Work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision
- Manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing workloads
- Follow detailed procedures, including repetitive and highly structured tasks
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (Analytical Chemistry preferred) OR
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant scientific experience in lieu of a degree
- Advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) are welcome
- Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in a relevant scientific field (internships may count)
- Hands‑on experience with analytical chemistry testing (FTIR strongly preferred/critical)
- Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat and Docu Sign
