What the role actually is
Agility is hiring a staff AI research engineer to help set technical direction for robot learning on humanoids. The role covers foundation models, end-to-end policies, imitation learning, reinforcement learning, and real robot experimentation.
Compared with the senior role, this one appears to carry more responsibility for research direction, technical roadmap, and leveling up a growing team.
What you would work on- Define robot-learning research priorities for humanoid capabilities
- Lead experiments that connect learning methods to physical robot performance
- Mentor researchers and engineers working on embodied AI systems
- Translate foundation-model and policy research into production-facing robotics work
