Come join our team and love what you do! We are currently hiring a Part Time Cook for Dietary and Food Services at Fremont Hospital

The Cook provides essential support to the successful operation of the hospital kitchen.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner for patients and facility staff according to the approved diet manual and production sheets.
- Overseeing the timely execution of meals and ensuring the kitchen operates safely and efficiently.
- Providing on‑unit snacks and maintaining par levels.
- Following proper safe food handling and kitchen safety protocols, and monitoring compliance by other staff.
- Must have at least two (2) years of experience in quantity cooking or basic knowledge of modified diets.
- Training in food service, safe food handling, and sanitation.
- Experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Some prior kitchen supervisory experience is helpful.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours at a time.
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and to push and pull up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to obtain Serv Safe certification, complete the Fremont Hospital’s non‑violent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training within 90 days of employment, and work overtime and flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
