Position Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Senior Sales Manager with a minimum of three years of experience in the photonics industry to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have strong technical sales expertise, a deep understanding of photonics products and applications, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can identify new business opportunities, manage key accounts, and collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets (e.g., telecom, medical, industrial, semiconductor, sensing, research)
  • Expand existing customer accounts and build long-term strategic partnerships
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing
Account Management
  • Serve as primary point of contact for key customers
  • Understand customer technical requirements and align solutions accordingly
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and quotations
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms
Market & Product Strategy
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies
  • Provide market feedback to product management and engineering teams
  • Support product launches and go-to-market strategies
Collaboration & Reporting
  • Work closely with engineering teams to develop customized solutions
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM records
  • Prepare regular sales performance reports for leadership
Qualifications Required
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the photonics industry
  • Strong knowledge of photonics components, systems, and applications
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Technical aptitude with ability to understand complex optical systems
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Optics, Photonics, or related field
Preferred
  • Experience selling lasers, optical components, fiber optics, imaging systems, or related technologies
  • Established network within photonics or related high-tech industries
  • Experience managing key accounts or distributor networks
  • MBA or advanced technical degree
