Position Summary
A global manufacturing and technology company is seeking an organized and customer-focused Inside Sales & Customer Support Specialist to join its team on a Temp-to-Hire basis.
This position will support sales operations, customer communication, order management, and material control activities while working closely with internal departments and clients.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating multiple projects, communicating with customers, and supporting business growth in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Inside Sales & Customer Support
- Process quotations, purchase orders, sales orders, and return requests using an ERP system
- Support customers by responding to inquiries and providing timely updates
- Coordinate with internal engineering and sales teams regarding customer requests and product information
- Maintain strong relationships with assigned customer accounts
- Track orders, delivery schedules, and sales activities to ensure smooth operations
- Prepare reports related to sales performance, bookings, and customer activities
- Support strategic sales initiatives and contribute to business growth
- Maintain accurate customer records and pricing information
- Assist with incoming phone calls and administrative support as needed
Sales Operations Support
- Create and update customer accounts and sales records
- Support order entry, invoicing, and documentation management
- Provide account activity updates and sales-related information to management
- Collaborate with team members to improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
Material Control & Logistics
- Coordinate shipments to meet delivery deadlines
- Communicate with carriers and logistics providers regarding shipments
- Monitor inventory levels and order status through ERP systems
- Resolve delivery and shipment-related issues
- Assist sales representatives and engineers with order tracking and customer requests
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in inside sales and/or customer service
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, technology, or high-tech environment is a plus
- Experience with data entry, reporting, and spreadsheet management
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience using ERP systems preferred
- Japanese language ability (speaking, reading, and writing) required
